New Beginnings

Hello and welcome back everyone! It has been a bit since I have tip-tapped on my blog. How have you all been? A lot of things have changed since the last post, and I cannot wait to share the news with you.

As you all know, the school year has finally started and everyone is back in school again. Some of you have dreaded this moment. Whilst the rest of you (and I) could not wait to begin school again, whether it's high school or university. I have yet to start school, and there is a reason why...I'M GOING TO SCHOOL IN ENGLAND! I never thought I could do it, but here I am. A week away from living in the place I've always dreamed of living.

Let me start by saying again, that I never actually thought that I would be able to follow through with a dream this big. There were so many factors that played a role in the situation that made me think I'd never make it; Finances and emotional support. When you move to another country, you will need to have at least thousands of dollars saved up. You have to factor in a visa, the health surcharges, rent for a few months, food, transportation, and much more.

I was absolutely blessed to be able to get approved for a federal loan. So I can tell you first hand that if you have a dream, no matter how big, you can achieve it. Honestly. Take it from me, a teenage girl who always talked about being able to travel on her blog, and after some time, actually being able to travel. If you believe, you can achieve. As cheesy as that sounds, it's really true.

I will be attending Kingston University, and I am so excited to see what this adventure has in store for me. New friends, new experiences, and maybe a love interest? Ooh la la

With travel, there comes the sad part; leaving all your friends behind. I work at a Forever21 near my home, and in my time working there (almost 2 months), I have managed to make friends with many people. Although I will be leaving friends behind, I have many friends overseas that I am beyond excited about getting to finally meet (you know who you are<3). There is so much diversity where I am going, so the opportunity to meet people from all over the world is inevitable.

Now I want to know, how many of you are in the same boat as I am? I would love to know. And who knows, maybe I'll meet some of you guys some day.

Opportunity Is Knocking

Hello my lovelies! Now I know what you are all saying: "OMG Cheyenne! Where have you been? I've missed you!" And the answer to that is: I've just been everywhere. I've been taking care of myself and dealing with things I needed to do. I have officially graduated from high school and now I am on the path to college. If you've been with me from the beginning, you'd that I've been waiting for this moment since I entered high school. The Freedom, the parties, new friends, and an exciting 4 year journey. Sure, college is hard work and you have to work hard to pass. But I am ready for the challenge. Sometimes I like to push myself and others to do good for themselves.

Sometimes I do have that nagging worry in the back of mind as to whether I'm going to do good in college and have decent grades and just get through successfully. But then I run through my mind that God won't give me anything I can't handle. If I've made this far in my life, I can make it even further.

I can happily say that I am not going to be going on this long journey alone. In a short period of time, I have made 2 amazing friends and I can honestly say that I already love them to death. I feel like this friendship was a God-made friendship because we fit so perfectly together. One of the many things that we bond over is travel. As you know, my love for travel is eternal. After my month long embark around Europe, traveling and seeing new territories has always held a place in my heart, and now I have two beautiful people to share my love for travel with. Going to college won't be so bad and nerve wracking after all.

By the time some of you read this(depending on where you are), I will be on the road to my future. The university is holding a student orientation(duh) and I cannot tell you how excited I am for it. I have been waiting for this day ever since I signed up for it(eager, I know).

For those of you who are now seniors in high school, I have a little advice for you: Opportunity is knocking. Whether you know where you want to go for college or you don't know at all, whatever decision you make will be a good one. And hey, if it's not, you can learn from it. I can honestly say that I am actually thankful that I didn't get accepted to The University of Tennessee. If I did, I wouldn't have met the amazing people I've met. So I just want to give thanks to God. Yes, I was very upset that I hadn't gotten into UTK at first. But really, it was just God saying that he had bigger and better things planned for me, and he was right. I bet UTK is looking at me now like 'Man, I wish we accepted her. She's so cool'. But it's too late now *insert laughter here* #woopigsooie

Lastly, I just want to thank all you readers for going on this(very staggered)journey with me and staying with me even though I don't update as often. And I recommend you follow my amazingly beautiful friends on their blogs. They are just starting out but I can honestly say that they are absolutely amazing writers!

ROMWE, Please

Aloha everybody! We have finally reached the end of the week. I have been waiting for this day since last Friday.

I don't know why, but this week has been dragging on so slow. I guess I'm just at the point in my ending high school life where I just don't care about anything but graduating. Of course I'm still going to do good in school, but I just have no motivation to do much of anything.

Inside My Social Media Life

This whole week, I have been doing absolutely nothing but twiddling my thumbs and scrolling through Tumblr and Twitter. To tell you the truth, I spend a lot of time on social media. But what regular teenager doesn't? I hate to admit it but my social media is almost like my second life. You show people what you want them see, and tell them what you want them to know. You basically control what people think of you.

But to be honest, being on twitter these past couple of days had earned me a pretty cool reward. You would never believe who favorited a tweet of mine...Miss Mahogany LOX herself! I know, I freaked out too. When I saw it, I had one of those mini heart attacks you get when something surprises you.

Also, someone quite vine famous actually followed me on twitter. Yep, that's right. Someone verified followed me. *drumroll* The lovely vine famous Cody Johns followed me on twitter! Crazy, right? Now I'm not gonna lie, I had no idea who this guy was when he followed me. So I asked my friend about it and she was like 'duh, he's famous on vine'. I was like 'well shoot then' lol. Then she started freaking out when I told her that it was the actual verified Cody Johns. I looked him up afterwards and I must say, not bad.

Wedding Bells

Hello everyone! Are you enjoying your week so far? I am currently in South Carolina visiting family. Today was actually a very special day. My aunt got married today and I had the privilege to follow her around all day and photograph the day away. I personally think having your wedding on New Years is awesome. Every new year you can have a blastingly awesome honeymoon celebrating your marriage AND the new year. How epic is that? I hope my wedding day is on a cool day, like St. Patrick's Day...that was a joke btw lol. After the wedding, we had this huge wedding after party. I tried a sip of champagne for the first time and I don't like it. The aftertaste is like dirt lol Everyone was getting there picture taken, all model like and whatnot. I'm not gunna lie, I looked dapper af and I shamelessly took more than enough selfies of myself all night. I will now take you through my day with a series of pictures :)

These were a few of the wedding decorations set up in the living room. The wedding was set in the living room at my grandparents house. I helped my mom with some of the setting and I must say I did a splendid job.

Me and my mom spent a little time at the hair salon watching my grandma and the bride herself getting her hair done. The bride-to-be looked quite dapper, I should say.

What kind of neice would I be if I didn't embarrass my own kin? XD

After chilling at the salon, me and my mom did a little shopping. We went to Bath & Body Works, Rue 21, and Dollar General. When I get home, I will make a shopping hall post. After shopping, we went to Zaxby's because the beast inside needed to be tamed. I'm not gonna lie halfway through my meal, I was like 'oh shiz. I can't eat another bite'. But I finished anyways because I am a proper trooper. My brothers birthday is actually this month. Being the good sister I am, I bought him a large ninja turtles cup filled with an assortment of candy. I also got him a card and put money in it. I'm such an angel XD

Now I know what you all are asking..."Cheyenne, what beautiful graces did you bestow on everyone's eyeballs?" Well to answer your question, this was my #OOTD

Hello, Christmas..

It has been a crazy few weeks. It is finally December, the greatest month of all(minus July, since it's my birthday month XD) We put our christmas tree up and we already have presents under it. I am more than excited for christmas; opening presents, seeing the joy in my siblings faces, and showing everyone what I got. Driving downtown at night in december is one of my favorite things because Christmas is everywhere; Trees wrapped with lights, snowflakes scattered down the streets. Always a sight to see :)

This is the season for cuddling and cute winter dates. Too bad homegirl is still single, but no worries. Who needs a guy to kiss under the mistletoe when you have french fries?

I feel like 2015 is going to be my year.

I always set goals for myself every year but I never go through with them. But I feel like I got it this time(I said that last year too lol). There's a lot of things I expect from myself for 2015. I want to break out of my shell and make my first Youtube video, I want my blog to be better, and I just want to be a happier person all around. College is coming and I want to be more than prepared. Speaking of college, guess who got accepted to her 3rd choice college??

I was so happy I finally got an acceptance letter from the University of Central Oklahoma. But if I get a letter from Tennessee State, I'm dropping everything else and becoming a Vol<3 The feeling of getting an acceptance letter is one of the best feelings ever; knowing you were good enough to get into the college of your choice. 1 down, 7 to go XD

Anyways, some interesting stuff is going on with me atm. That thirsty cracker jack I told you about before is still trying. He is officially the thirstiest man thot I've ever met in my life. The stuff he says, it's just like really dude? Does your mom know you're like this? I know I should cut him off again and stop talking to him, but the nice wizard on my shoulder won't let me. But there's only so much I can take of this dudes perverted thoughts...If I tell you to stop saying stuff like this to me, yet you keep going, that just shows what kind of person you are...

This year is flying by faster than Superman. I am very happy that my senior year is going by in a breeze. I got back from a band trip to Gatlinburg last saturday and I had the time of my life. It was my first time in Tennessee and I think it's safe to say that I am thoroughly impressed. Now I definitely need to be accepted to UTK so I can walk the beautiful streets of Gatlinburg and just enjoy myself any time I want. I wish I could have stayed longer, but hey. All good things must come to an end.

We were in the parade and let me tell you, I'm pretty sure I sweat my weight. Sure it was only a mile and a half, but a mile and a half too long. The good part about it was that after the parade, we got to go out to eat. Me and my friends ate a Bubba Gumps Shrimp. It was sooo good. Our waiters were on fire <3<3<3 Our waiter Dustin was soo cute and loud. He spilled me and my sisters drink all over us, but I was okay with it. My sister said it was the best day of her life because she got a drink spilled on her by a cute guy. One of the other waiters, who was younger, had to help clean up the mess. He was hispanic and had the cutest accent. We had a normal convo, like we were buddies. But on the inside, all I could say was omg omg omg he so hot he's actually talking to me XD

We also went to the Ripley's aquarium, which got kinda boring after a while. I mean, who wants to look at fish for 2 hours? Not me, but hey. I got to touch a jelly fish, which was surprisingly not as soft as I thought. I thought it would be soft and squishy, hence the word 'jelly'. Oh well. After we came back home, all I could think was 'dang, back to my boring Alabama life'.

I cannot wait for christmas break. Exams are next week and homegirl doesn't have to take any :D

So Monday is technically my last day of school. That is definitely a christmas miracle. For those of you who have to take exams, have faith brethren...

Christmas is literally right around the corner and I can't wait one bit. I know one thing I'm getting and I certainly can't wait to open it. Lord, please let me have the patience to wait for christmas.

Let's not make any rash decisions...

Somebody call the mother effing SWAT team cuz this ish is real. My school was on major lockdown today. No one in the hallways, extra authority, and eyes following you everywhere. And it's all because of the app Yik Yak, which is an app where you post random, "anonymous" comments(you should know that nothing is ever really anonymous).

This whole thing started right after the first bell rang. The principal made a huge announcement about how there was a serious threat going around on Yik Yak directed toward the school. I didn't think too much on it because Yik Yak has a bunch of crazy stuff written on it. He offered a $500 award for anybody who knew who was posting that stuff. After he mentioned the money, I was like 'ey homegirl could use the extra monayyy'. But then I was like 'wait, I don't know anyone who would write something like that'.

3rd period comes around and we are in there quietly taking a test, when all of a sudden, we hear the principal screaming his head off at somebody in the hallway. He was getting louder and louder. I could just imagine his face looking like this:

Then, I heard another voice, of a student, yelling back at him. By then, I was like 'hory shet...we're gonna die...'

My heart was literally about to pound out of my chest. I hate when people yell like that. After a while it got really quiet. After 3rd period, I went up to my friend Trev and asked him if he knew what had happened. Turns out the whole shebang happened in his classroom. He said that the principal and like 4 police officers busted into the classroom asking to speak with the 'suspect'. He thought they were talking to him. I'm pretty sure he almost sharted his pants XD They pulled the actual person out and they started screaming. That's some crazy ish, to have this happen right in front of you. If I was him, I would've ran the second I could.

Like see you losers later. I need to live to die another day lol By the time I got to 5th period, everyone was talking about it. Everyone was on edge and whatnot. There were teachers standing at every crevice of the school. This was some prison kind of ish, but it was understandable. My french teacher was acting as if nothing happened. Like bish, no one wants to learn while this ish is going on. In my gut, I kind of knew nothing was really going to happen, but there's always that little feeling of 'what if'. I was going to lunch next(which is where the shooting was 'supposed' to happen), and once I got there, all I saw was authority. Every authority figure under the sun was in that lunch room. I wouldn't be surprised if the SWAT team was hovering over the school or waiting to bust through the roof lol At that point, I was like 'well hell, this is really happening'. So I got checked out of school, along with more than half the student body. I'm pretty sure the school had parents calling up the wazoo.

I've never been this close to a school shooting and I hope I never have to come this close again. In all seriousness, this situation isn't something to joke about. If you know someone or see someone suspicious, do not hesitate to report it. But to sum all of this up, today was a pretty...hectic day, I should say.
